The Paint Australia Beautiful Schools Mural Competition is back, and we’re inviting primary schools across Australia to design a nature-inspired mural that reflects their local environment and sustainability initiatives!

 

This is an exciting opportunity to combine creativity with a powerful message about protecting and improving local biodiversity through anti-litter and waste reduction initiatives. Winning schools will receive paint and supplies to turn their vision into a reality and showcase their eco-consciousness to the community.

How it works:

Step 1: Brainstorm ideas with your school, grade or class and let your students put pencil to paper, designing a beautiful nature-inspired mural that incorporates native and local surrounds

STEP 2: Submit your mural design with an explanation of how the mural reflects the natural environment, while capturing the school’s eco-vision for anti-litter and waste reduction initiatives, to protect and improve local biodiversity to Keep Australia Beautiful! 1

Step 3: Entries will be shortlisted by State for public voting. Shortlisted schools are encouraged to share their designs via social media to rally votes online. #PaintAustraliaBeautiful @Keep Australia Beautiful  @keepaustraliabeautiful

Step 4: A winning school from each state / territory will be awarded paint and supplies* by Haymes Paint to turn the design into a reality so they can recreate their mural designs on a selected wall within their school. 2

Step 5: Once completed, the State Finalist’s murals will be unveiled and submitted for public voting on social media, where a National Winner will be crowned!
